Trip Hazard Elimination
An uneven sidewalk is a liability waiting to happen. We raise settled sections back flush, eliminate trip hazards, and restore safe walkways without tearing out the existing concrete.
A sidewalk that has settled half an inch might not look like much, but that difference is enough to catch a toe and send someone down hard. For older adults, children on bikes, or anyone carrying something in their arms, an uneven walkway is a genuine danger. And if someone trips and gets hurt on your property, the consequences can extend well beyond the cost of the repair.
The good news is that sidewalk repair is one of the most straightforward applications for concrete leveling. Most sidewalk panels are relatively small, the voids beneath them are usually limited, and the process is quick. We can typically address several sections in a single morning, and with polyjacking, the surface is walkable again within an hour of us finishing.
The cause of sidewalk settlement is almost always the same story: soil erosion or compaction failure beneath the slab. Tree roots are a major factor in established neighborhoods throughout Central Texas. As roots grow, they push against slabs from below. When they eventually die and decay, they leave channels in the soil that allow water to flow through and carry the supporting soil away. The result is a slab that slowly drops as the ground beneath it disappears.
We look at the full picture during the inspection. If a tree root is the underlying cause, we note that and explain what it means for long-term performance. We want you to have realistic expectations about the repair, not just a quick fix that will need repeating in a year.
Property owners can be held liable for injuries caused by uneven walkways on their premises. A difference of just a quarter inch to half an inch in sidewalk height is enough to create a recognized trip hazard in most jurisdictions. If you have noticed a section of your walkway that has settled, addressing it promptly is the safest and most cost-effective course of action.
Our Scope of Work
We repair and level a wide variety of concrete slabs and walkway types throughout Central Texas.
The path from your driveway to your front door, the sidewalk beside the house, garden paths and backyard walkways. We level them all.
The section of sidewalk that borders your property on the street side. Municipalities often require homeowners to maintain this area, and we handle these repairs professionally and quickly.
Patio sections that have sunk away from the house or settled unevenly around a pool can be lifted and leveled without pulling up the slab and starting over.
A stoop or landing that has settled away from the house leaves a gap at the threshold and creates an entry point for water. We raise and stabilize these structures as a standard repair.

How We Do It
Here is exactly what happens from the time you call us to the moment you can walk on the repaired surface again.
Call us or fill out the online form. We typically schedule free inspections within one to two business days.
We assess the settled sections, probe for voids, check drainage, and give you a clear quote on the spot. No waiting days for an estimate.
We drill small holes, inject the lifting material, raise the slab precisely, then patch the holes. Most sidewalk jobs take one to two hours.
With polyjacking, the foam cures in 15 to 30 minutes. You can walk on the repaired surface the same day we finish the work.
It depends on the situation. When a tree root has pushed a slab up from below, the root itself needs to be addressed before the concrete can be lowered and stabilized. We can assess the extent of the root intrusion and tell you whether repair is practical or whether slab removal and root management is the better path. We always give you an honest read on this.
For polyjacking, the injection holes are typically about 5/8 inch in diameter, which is quite small. Mudjacking uses larger holes, typically about 1.5 to 2 inches. Both types are patched when the job is done. The patch is visible but neat and small. Most homeowners are pleasantly surprised by how inconspicuous the patches are.
Yes. Because we work on individual panels, we can lift and level a single section without touching the panels on either side. This is one of the advantages of concrete leveling over replacement, where cutting and pouring one section often requires careful matching and transition work.
Homeowners insurance policies vary widely. General settlement and soil movement are often excluded from coverage, but damage caused by a covered event like a plumbing leak may be covered. We recommend checking your specific policy. We can provide a detailed estimate and documentation of the damage that may be useful for an insurance inquiry.
Do not wait for someone to get hurt. A free inspection takes less than an hour, and most sidewalk repairs are done in a single morning. Call us or request a quote online.
